The Story So Far…

Dusk + Ember was established in 2023 by born and bred Brummie, Hannah Johnson. A local yoga teacher / musician who has long been a significant contributor to the Midlands arts scene, and as a result, a strong sense of community lies at the heart of her small business.

Having heard frequently from students and friends that they love the smell of incense but not the smoke emitted, Dusk +Ember’s first original scent YOGA was born: Rich Nag Champa balanced in perfect harmony with opulent Amber and fragrant Patchouli.  The scent proved so popular that Hannah decided to expand her enterprise professionally and build a signature collection of candles + wax melts to aid wellbeing and the practice of self care.

Sustainability and eco friendly values are at the forefront of Dusk + Ember’s mission and 100% of our coconut soy wax products are both vegan and non-toxic.  Not only do we personally hand pour all of our candles and wax melts but also all of our unique concrete vessels and homeware items.  Our style is minimal and aesthetically chic… we pride ourselves in packing a punch where scent is concerned and enjoy curating original mixes of intoxicating fragrances that will be sure to transport you to places zen.
